Grace was rescued in August 2010, and her before and after pictures say it all. She came to us several hundred pounds underweight, bony, haggard, and she was only five years old! Grace was so weak her back legs wobbled when she walked. This very well bred Standardbred mare was not successful on the track and ended up being a throw away. Once rescued by Gateway, Grace quickly regained her health and became a farm favourite. Grace spent several years blessing students as a therapy horse before being adopted by one of our very own Gateway staff.
